Since 2003 VPAG has been self sustaining through running events, such as the Festival in September and the Bonfire night in November.
The events are not designed to make a vast amount of profit, but to bring the community together and provide enough funds to keep the group going.
Unfortunately our costs have been rising significantly, particularly through the fees we must pay to Bristol City Council to run events in the park, as well as the cost of insurance, first-aiders and security, so our events are now running at a loss. Whilst the group can sustain this is in the short term, we need to return to profit to be able to run events in the future.
