The Water Maze

The water maze was built in 1984, taking water from a medieval water pipe (see History section) that still runs from a spring in Knowle and used to supply fresh water to the Redcliffe area of Bristol. The maze was designed by Peter Milner, a local designer known for his water mazes, and is based on an old roof boss in the north transept of St Mary Redcliffe Church. Unfortunately, water no longer flows through the maze (which is technically a labyrinth, as it has no dead ends!). However it still serves as a beautiful structure which is fun for children to walk round.

The maze often fills with water when it rains so you can still see how it should look.
